The Rolex Explorer II and Bradley Cooper – A Mark of Luxury

Will ColemanThe Rolex Explorer II watches have been around since 1971; and today, they stand as a mark of timeless luxury. The watches have travelled almost the entire world with their owners and have also made them accomplish great global expeditions. The Rolex Explorer II features a 24-hour hand that has been an indispensable reason for the success of both polar explorers and speleologists. The invention has allowed them to distinguish day from night in any part of the world. The latest of these Explorer II watches features a case of 42 mm. The Rolex Explorer II watches in robust steel body look bold, boisterous and extremely sophisticated.

The Rolex Explorer II watches are an epitome of innovation. The chromalight display on the Rolex watches is a wonderful demonstration of creativity. The clever innovation helps the wearer look through the dark times and see the light, literally. The bright blue glow lasts for around 8 hours which is enough time for the night time to turn into mornings. Also, the duration of the glow is practically twice more than that of other luminescent materials.

Talking about the stature of the Rolex Explorer II watches, the 904L steel that has been used as the fundamental material of these watches infuses a certain boldness in these watches. The 904L steel is used in the industry for the construction of heave machines and devices. The quality steel leaves little scope for any corrosion. A super alloy, 904L steel is one of the most highly polishable steels in the industry.

When used in Rolex Explorer II watches, 904L steel stands for strength, durability and unbeatable quality. Another trademark of quality in the Rolex Explorer II watches is the parachrom hairspring. The presence of the hairspring in the watch indicates that the watch is extremely resistant (approximately 10 times more) to shocks and variations in magnetic field. The parachrom spring ensures that the watch always gives the apt time. The blue color of the parachrom spring has been a mark of prestige since ages.

Rolex KentuckyA perfect comparison for the Rolex Explorer II watches is the famous American actor Bradley Cooper. The charming hunk first gained recognition when he featured in a TV series Alias. Cooper began his career in the year 1999 on television with the famous American serial “Sex and the City”. In 2001 he made his debut in the movie “Wet Hot American Summer”. Some of the movies out of the many that he has worked in include “Bending All the Rules”, “He’s Just Not That into You”, “The Hangover”, “Hit and Run” and “Silver Linings Playbook”.

Rolex Kentucky three day event

Hannah Sue Burnett, who is a native of the Shelby County will be back for another stint at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event that will commence on Thursday. The Rolex event is an equestrian competition that equals the level of the Olympics. It draws about 50,000 to 100,000 spectators from all over the world. Also they boast of an elite roster of riders who have participated in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington that took place last year. Many players wait for this Equestrian event every season and Hannah Sue Burnett is amongst them. In the year 2007, at the age of 20 she completed her 1st four star Rolex event. Afterwards she went on and rode for Team O’Connor which was headed by Karen and David O’Connor who have been Olympic riders. She has been working for the O’Connor team for last 3 years. Hannah Sue Burnett is very thrilled as the Rolex event is going to take place in her home town.

She accepted the fact that there is a lot of pressure to do well as this is going to be her second try at the Rolex event. She said that the first time she went for the event it was just to get the feel of the event and know how things work. Her main aim last year was to complete and this year it’s to compete. Hannah Sue Burnett’s 16 year old mount, Keep the Faith, who had accompanied his rider to some of the most important competitions has now retired. Now she will have a Washington-bred Thoroughbred named St. Hannah Sue BurnettBarths as her mount for the upcoming event. St. Barths aka “Nike” will be debuting in the forthcoming event. According to his rider he is a very fast thinking horse and swift as well, Hannah Sue Burnett is very confident about him and hopes that they will do well.

Last fall she, along with her mount Nike won the Dansko Fair Hill International Three-Day Event scheduled in Maryland. She performed exceptionally well in the three star championship where she thwarted the attempts of riders like Phillip Dutton who has won gold in Olympics. Now the 24 year old rider will have to perform in front of the home crowd which is going to be tough. Among other riders for the event is Australian Clayton Fredericks who was the winner of the Rolex Kentucky three day event in the year 2007. That year second place went to Phillip Dutton and third place went to Karen O’Connor. All the three riders are now back to win the title. Last time Hannah Sue Burnett’s dressage score was 59. However it was followed by a slip up in the second phase of the competition at a cross country fence. While tackling she knocked down a few rails. She went onto finish on the 23rd spot. This year she hopes that she will do much better than last year with her young and energetic “Nike”.
